Michael Scardina
Vice President of Information Technology

Michael Scardina joined TotalWorks in 1999 to help the company expand its IT department. As the VP of Information Technology, Scardina is responsible for providing business and technology leadership and vision. He develops and implements IT strategies that support the company's strategic plan and
is responsible for collaborating with clients to assess their technological needs.

Before coming to TotalWorks, Scardina spent five years in management positions at LDR Industries
in Chicago. There, he designed and created an MRP application utilizing VBA, MS Excel and Intermec
Mainframe to manage and automate purchasing. Scardina also worked as a buyer/category manager responsible for more than $13 million in inventory. His achievements include implementing scheduling and plan-a-gram systems, which improved setup times by 30%, as well as creating a production scheduling program with a 20% efficiency improvement.

Scardina earned his BA from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois. He has since earned certifications in web development, C++ programming and SQL administration/development.
Scardina is a member of ITA (The Illinois Technology Association), IPA (The Association of
Graphic Solutions Providers) and PII (The Printing Industry of Illinois).
